2023…here I come…
Good Saturday morning everyone! Hope the new year has treated everyone as well as it’s treated me!
But i just wanted to hop on here quick and update everyone who may follow this blog as to what the major plans for 2023 are!
Starting last year i decided to start the transition from not only photographing weddings/events but I have really started focusing on videography as well!
My love for videography stems from growing up watching skate and BMX or really any extreme sports videos that we used to buy on DVD that were filmed on old camcorders with VCR tapes to record on. I just always thought it would be so fun to be able to capture some of the coolest places and riders there were. So then once we got old enough we started filming on what we could afford while splicing clips together! Now we’re filming on 4K quality cameras just bigger than our cell phones! CRAZY!
Now I’ve graduated to car videos and business promotion as well as special events!
Also knowing how disappointed Zoe and i we’re with not having our wedding filmed i don’t want anyone to feel like that! So i will always cater (to an extent) to couples looking for a videographer that may not have an unlimited amount of money to spend on their wedding!
So if you or anyone you know is on the fence about hiring a videographer for their wedding or event, reach out and we will always try to make it happen!
Mental health…
Good morning everyone!
So a while back I started a series of posts about mental health and helping people face their demons by talking about their experiences and hoping to help them heal!
We’ll it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about that but I have NOT forgotten about it. I have decided to take a full dive in and start back up and help people start to heal!
I know these last 2 years have been especially hard for many people who had preexisting mental health issues but also maybe new mental health episodes from traumas that they have experienced with the whole quarantine to lock downs and everything happened in the last 2/2.5 years.
So with that being said, if you or someone you know may benefit and are willing to talk to me about what they have going on, I will be back to meeting with people and also be throwing in a little mini “empowerment” session to go along with the meeting.
So message me now to schedule a date and time!
2021….see ya later!
As the end of this year approaches, I wanted to share a few thoughts I had from the past 360 something days.
This year was full of a lot of emotions, events and all the in-betweens. My wife and I welcomed our first child who is the light of our lives and our single greatest accomplishment. Nothing compares to the emotions you feel when you look at your child and I’m constantly asking myself how we became so lucky to be blessed with him.
I finally was able to photograph a wedding that had been postponed 2 times because of Covid and was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! I made multiple new connections via social media or in person and have started to branch out my business to include videography services!
I’m ecstatic to see what 2022 has in store for me not only on the business aspect but in life in general! I can’t wait to see my son grow this year and become a 1 year old (😳) and help create and capture memories for my clients to cherish for a lifetime!
So as beautiful as 2021 has been, I’m looking to make 2022 even better and I can’t wait to work with and capture for as many of you as possible!
Reflecting…
So I’ve never really been good at putting my thoughts out there, especially about my endeavors and things I’ve tried/have done in the past but i wanted to be able to now using this section of the new website.
After 2020 and the pure chaos it caused, between losing family members to Covid-related deaths, quarantines, losing all scheduled shoots basically for the whole year, etc., I was mentally DRAINED. I lost a LOT of motivation to want to continue stressing about rescheduling shoots and weddings and figure out how it would even all happen. I stopped really trying. My cameras sat untouched on my office desk for MONTHS while I consumed myself in video games and started streaming on Twitch. But then i slowly lost interest in that as well. I was really just depressed about what was going on, but then it finally hit me. I finally realized it wasn’t just ME dealing with these issues. It was everyone. So why was i moping around while everyone else was finding their creative genius? Why was i WASTING valuable time while i could be learning and perfecting and crafting a new way to keep myself motivated and inspired.
So when 2021 kicked off i told myself i would NEVER leave the house without a camera. I go to work, i bring my camera. JUST IN CASE i get a random urge to spend my lunch break exploring a random trail near my job or even just photographing birds, i ALWAYS have it on me. My wife and i take a drive to get coffee/lunch whatever, i bring my camera. And i love it. It’s taught me to see things a different way. I can honestly say i look at everyday things as if i was photographing them. I see compositions and focus points as we’re driving by a crazy rock formation or an abandoned building on the side of the road. I’ve expanded my horizons to not LIMIT myself to a certain type of photography. And i love every minute of it. I’ve made some really great connections this year and ESPECIALLY here coming towards the end of the year in the last month or so!
I’m looking to come out SWINGING in 2022 with everything PHOTO related and now I’m diving into VIDEOGRAPHY very HEAVY so don’t forget to think of me for not only still photos but also anything video related!
i look forward to working with as many of you as possible this year! Lets create some memories for you to cherish!
